I wouldn't say it confirms anything about Shimano roller brakes -- the frame has canti posts, and I hate seeing a frame with unused canti posts; it's ugly. I've never tried a roller brake, but I don't like what I've heard about their disadvantages (more hand effort, fade when they get hot).
The new shimano BR-R550 cantis are very nice.
