It's tempting, but the consequences are just so severe I can't bring myself to do it. I've already had to make the call of shame once due to not carrying a chain breaker and master link when my FD ate itself. If I'm ever caught out with a unrideable bike again it better be a catastrophic failure.
I'm dreading the day I get a flat on my mountain bike.
Because it will be deep in the woods, on a hot steamy windless day, next to some standing water teeming with mosquitoes.
