I routed the housing under the bar tape - works just fine but you have to find a really long shifter cable to reach the RD, ESPECIALLY with T/T cable routing like I have.

thanks! so far i'm loving it!

i was thinking about routing the shifter cable under the bar tape the full length at first, but i ended up with those orign8 gary bars, and they have a really sharp bend at the top of the drop, under the brake lever. i didn't want to have to try and make that corner and worry about the added friction on the cable. it probably would have been fine, but i don't mind having the cable hanging out like i've got it.

i am a tiny bit concerned about the housing getting in the way once i have my front rack on, but i don't think it'll be too much of an issue.
