They're doing some leaf clean-up on my street, but they didn't put out any signs until last night, so a lot of people hadn't seen the signs and still had their cars parked. My new neighbor's minivan was the first in line, so I had my wife urgently call them to let them know. The husband and wife both happened to be home, so they rushed out before it got lifted on to the flatbed, but there seemed to be some animated discussion going on. Oh well, the tow tuck backs up to the next in line, starts hauling it up on to the bed... and then another guy is out there jingling his keys, imploring the driver to drop it and let him move it. Does look like it's going to happen. Then another person shows up and starts arguing about the parking ticket that they were issued, not that the tow truck driver had anything to do with that.

I hope he gets pain decently.
I'm sure he gets plenty of pain. However, if it's like many other impound schemes, the contractor gets paid by the vehicle, leading to plenty of abuse.
