Shazaam...like everyone said actual running is different from the tread mill...I myself just started running about 5 months ago and found that pacing yourself is the best way to get comfortable with the run...Also having comfortable shoes would really help your knees to avoid a lot of the impact...Lastly look up flat foot running this may help you run a bit more comfortably.
