I know these type of mirrors are popular, but there is a small chance you could be injured by them in the event of a crash. The wire that makes the arm can be forced into the soft tissue of your face (eyes?) by the force of impact with ground, car, etc. I guessed this was a possibility several years ago when I was considering mirrors, and perhaps 4 years ago a bf.net user posted a pic of a T-A-L mirror arm jammed into his cheek area - so it can happen. I'm sorry I can't provide a link, but it did happen.

The mirror I use now, linked above in #79, attaches to helmet. The main arm is wire, but it is covered by a thick rubber layer, specifically to prevent the type of injury just mentioned. It is very flexible and holds it's shape, and the rubber dampens mirror vibration. It's like the old Gumby dolls. Right now amazon has them for the cheapest I've ever seen:
