Thanks everyone for the advice. Yeah, the road near HMB is narrow and not much shoulder as I checked the google streetview again. It's a pity that there is a wide shoulder on the climb (west bound) but not on the flatter part near HMB. Shouldn't the county considering widening the road and add bike lanes there? It will connect Canada Rd, Hwy1 and Skyline, which are so well travelled bike routes.
