I bought a race belt from my lbs for about $7.

I had tri shorts already (had worn them to the gym). I wore cycling jerseys in the race, a short sleeve for a tri in Dec 2007, and a sleeveless for a tri on June 7.

I rented a wetsuit for the June tri.
