If the frame isnt carbon id ride it. Ive stuffed 48mm tires into a frame for similarly tight clearance amd ridden them on gravel without issue
Not really worried so much about side to side, more like on the top and back of chain stays where stuff can get stuck.
If was just side to side I'd go.
