Yes, a stop at HEB in Fredericksburg Texas not Virginia . It was raining but manage to get beer and food before the trek to LLano. The Pedernales River had a better than avg flow. Above normal pool the fishing can get difficult as you said. Spreads the fish around and gets them out of their normal patterns. Texas as most of the US has had a cooler than normal spring. Caught some decent bass at Buchanan my first fishing trip there and it is an awesome reservoir. My neighbors recently purchased a lake house on Buchanan they are close to retirement so it was cool to have a place to crash and their boat in the water ready to go in the early morning. Ok I know this is a bike forum but to me successful fishing and biking parallel each other as far as the mindset it takes.
