Demonstrably. I love mine. It would be a close race with the induction hotplate. That thing is just amazing. I put the water on, put the oatmeal in it and am eating said oatmeal 30 seconds later. But on the coffee front, I drink mine tepid. And instant. I had a true addict for an acquaintance once. He used to buy up dried poppies, from flower arranging shops, for the opium. His type is why they were made illegal. He got into caffeine tabs for a bit. He would mention that by the time your water's boiling, I've already got a buzz on.
