They did not come with the adapters, I purchased them as a take off set of shifters and calipers online. Since this is a new build, I'm selecting all parts to be the lightest option available within reason and price point. The rear Shimano adapter is 55g and the Sram is only 11g so 44g savings is not much by itself but will add up over the complete build if I trim fat where I can. If the Sram adapter is not compatible I'd just buy the Shimano, eat the 44g and call it a day.
