Why? It means I could run a really nice, fast tire and not have to worry about it, nor carrying supplies. And can swap helmets and get real food and re-up sunblock.

My youngest daughter SAGed my Vermont 100/200 rides. Cold water bottles, real food, and moral support make the ride more enjoyable. She would drive ahead in 10 miles legs and cheer me on the climbs, and make sure I ate and drank enough even when I didn't want to. Listen to your SAG driver when they tell you what you need.
