The new proposal is dockless. Pick up the bike or scooter wherever you find one. Unlock it with a Phone app and drop it off wherever you like. Next to a bar, dumpster, behind a liquor store or by a bridge over a river. In China they are tossed into empty lots by the thousands. It doesn't seem to be a fad.
