I ended up buying the 9D today. Back to back to back to back long test rides at REI.
It was a tough choice between the Path 9D and 7D.
I like the 7D better as far as comfort. The pedals are further forward on the 7D, but I didn't think the 9D was uncomfortable.
In the end it was the disk brakes, taller wheels and better shifters that pulled me toward the 9d.
I wish they made the 7D frame with some upgraded components.
