just over 30 miles from ojai up to the rose valley summit along hwy 33 and back. road quality pretty good but a few racquetball-sized rocks along the road where the thomas fire had denuded the slopes.
always a treat to ride alongside matilja creek, especially in that double tunnel/grotto area. guardrail repair/installation crew were about 2/3 up the climb along with a temporary stoplight controlling about a half-mile stretch. really pretty day/morning with little wind and none of the fallout smoke from various regional fires. one of my fave climbs in socal.
