I didn't catch that but I did it with one grip and no glue. The rubber compound and shape of the grip makes it stick to the frame. Easy to take off when not in use. Money spend: Less than 2 USD.
Well I bet it will actually do a great job since it's thick and has almost the perfect shock absorption dwell time. And it's way to carry the bike without getting sweaty hand prints on the paint too.

That was actually intended to be the over-the-top indicator that it was all malarkey. Looks like I failed.
But admittedly, If I were going to rig something like that I would line up all the labels. And I'd use a plumb line to make sure they were perfect.
I'd never use OURY grips though. Their tread pattern is far too pronounced and the edges too sharp. This would violently disrupt airflow patterns and reduce my speed.
