In some cases, depending on what's causing it. A friend had it due to extra impulses to the heart from secondary nerves. It was treated with drugs until they became less effective and they did an ablation, running a wire up through the groin to blast the part of the heart where the extra beats were getting their signal.In his case it worked out perfectly and we were mountain biking steep climbs at 9000 feet a few weeks later.
