Cavendish's bonuses are being paid by Specialized/Mike Sinyard. Would not be surprised if they don't try to swing a deal to keep Sagan riding Specialized when the bridges between him and Bora are burning, even though I agree that he doesn't seem like the best fit for DQS.
I wonder how long DQS can even keep Alaphillipe. He may already have priced himself off the team. And that's just one pay raise amongst others, like Asgreen who was said to be entering contract negotiations just after Flanders.
