Function and cost are important, of course, but beyond that I have to like my bikes aesthetically. I also prefer them to be less common manufactures, models, or colors. Life is too short to ride a bike I find boring, no matter how well it functions or how reasonable the cost.

Plus I knew I didn't want a vacuum cleaner!
