My lifetime average is roughly one flat evert 2,000 miles or so. Since I ride much more than that, I get more flats. But I don't consider it a problem in any way, just part of the game.

FWIW historically just about all my fears were from cuts, usually glass. However there was a stretch where there were more failures where the tube met the valve. Thankfully that's behind me now.
