I was flogging my first used road bike (just sold it) when I first bought it out in Key Biscayne, FL. Went over the bridge and clocked 35 mph on my schwinn speedo/computer thing. Then slowing down from 35 pretty much just shaved through the old brake pads... good thing there were stores everywhere!
