Yeah, 3 months-(ish) is ridiculous. And it ain't like they can fall back on the time-honored excuse that they, "just want to make sure it's done right the first time", LOL!!!
Anyway, I feel your pain. I recently had a year-old, heavy-duty road wheelset develop a bunch of stress fractures around the drive-side spokes, and some of the comments here warned against riding that wheelset anymore. So while the company that built them (BicycleWheelWarehouse) was waffling back and forth about covering me on warranty, I went and scored a pretty nice, lightly-used wheelset off ebay, because I didn't want to miss ANY of the late summer/fall riding season ! So I'd be highly pissed at what C-dale is pulling on you.
(BTW, the wheels have developed further symptoms, and the company has completely ghosted on me, so it was a good call just biting the bullet and buying another set.)
So, good luck, at least they're not leaving you completely high and dry.
