Don't let the Division of Youth and Family Services know about it, but I'm going to be attempting this soon. (of course, I'll do a bunch of trial runs before I actually put to the test with the grom aboard).
I actually use this fairly regularly, It works fine. I use risers and flip my stem up but it works. I stick to bike paths though as traffic makes me very nervous.
