He also did some pinned stretching on me which hurt, but helped immediately. From here is just working on mobilization of the hip and occasional nerve gliding.
I have a troublesome knee and occasionally one hip. I do those lateral leg raises also and the discomfort/pain subsides. After doing them for a while, (several months) I added 10 lbs. of ankle weights to each leg. I also stretch daily. It may not always be possible but when it is, strengthening exercises frequently solve these issues.
