I have most of the drive train from a ‘92/‘93 Canny tourer, the drops with twist grip shifters? I’m thinking it would be a riot to put drops and road twisties on a mountain bike...
Did Suntour make Accushift road twisties before folding and making Shimano pattern stuff? If you change out the shifters for Shimano, the cassette won't want to play nicely. You'll be able to get the shifting on the lower 5 right, but the top two have slightly different spacing.
