Gee, Bob, that's kind of RetroGrouchy. I am familiar with paper maps and cue sheets, having navigated with them on a bike from sea to shining sea. I much prefer audio turn-by-turn navigation, I use it all the time in my car. Maps are great, but I find the audio cues superior when I'm in my car in deepest, darkest downtown Boston.

Do they drop you off the back, & ride off out of sight?
No. In fact, I need neither audio cues or a cue sheet with the club, as I can just follow the other riders. But mostly I ride solo, and I am using RWGPS route planning to modify my existing routes and design new ones. And I can take advantage of routes planned by others. I find the audio cues make it easier to enjoy the ride.

I like the Pringles speaker array, but it's too big for my handlebar.
