Great thought...do you know that he/she specifically wants the brands that you mentioned...Are you planning on showing him the list of options received?
Another option might be to offer to buy him a frame of his liking with a dollar amount specified by you....that way he could even go up if he paid the difference.
Frames/brands are a very personal choice for a lot of riders etc.
