I bought a pair of Lake CX something road shoes on closeout sale a few years ago, to use to replace my Northwest shoes that I use on my road bike. The Northwest shoes are still chugging along, so for 3 seasons now I've only been using the Lake shoes indoors on my Wahoo Kickr trainer with Zwift - not a realistic comparison, but lots of "miles" on them now.
I like the BOA dial system, but one of the BOA adjusters failed. An easy and free path to getting replacement from the BOA website, a 2 minute/one screwdriver fix. I like the wider fit and the stiffness of the soles. I think they will work great on my outdoor biking but only then will I see how they stand up to rain and more walking around with the on, etc.
