I've had two pairs of Lakes.

The first were the 236s. They fit great, but the BOA set up was crap. It had only one dial located behind the heel. My heel would slip when pulling on the shoes - the BOA would just tighten around the toes.

I'm now using CX-1 Carbons on the track. They are lace up, and fit well enough.

I've found that the customer service at Lake is very responsive. If you take decent measurements of your feet - length and width - and let them know what shoe model you are looking at, they'll let you know what size to get. I had 44s in the 236s, but customer service suggested I go with 43.5 on the CS-1s. (Both were wides.)

Also, be sure to look at what last you are getting. Lake has two or three lasts, each with different widths per size.
