I'm thankful that I got to have a wonderful day of cooking and sharing dinner with family and friends. Instead of traditional turkey (which no one really likes) we do cultural themes. This holiday was Italian and we had 5 cooks in the kitchen all working together. Two lasagnas, eggplant parmesan, focaccia bread, caesar salad, tiramisu...
The next day I was able to drive up to the Adams River salmon run and dive to take video and pictures. Every four years there is a dominant run with millions predicted to return and we can sit in Shuswap lake under the outflow of the river to shoot the salmon as they mill about getting ready to make their last push upstream after already traveling almost 500km from the ocean..
The next day (long weekend) I went for a nice ride along local dikes and farmland roads on my FG bike.
