Funny enough after a couple mentions here, I have a set of Vlaanderen tubs to start gluing up tomorrow for another bike.
At about 190#, I prefer my Vlaanderen tire pressure around 95psi. Yeah I could run them softer, but I would have no road feedback, and greater rolling resistance. The advantage of flexible sidewalls is high pressure without harshness. My 30mm Sdhwalbe tubies require much lower pressures to be as smooth.
