Heat is relative.

I lived in Western Mass for 28 years and it got "hot" maybe 2-3 weeks out of the summer. Then I moved to South Carolina 15 years ago. Average temp here is 89 from June thru August. That means, 90+ everyday for 3 months. Today is like 93 and after work will hit the road.

I've ridden in Florida too but not in the summer months. September and November were great. Still quite warm but not hot as you say.

So, hot is relative to where you live. It is hot down here and I've been here for 15 years. You do get somewhat used to it, but it does get warm. If you keep moving, it is tolerable. If you stop for lights or a rest stop, the sweat just flows like a hose. Looking for roads that have some shade is a must. But I must say, I will take the heat way more than shoveling snow. I do not miss those days back in Mass. I can ride almost year round here and I won't even mention my tax rates.

Enjoy while you can. The leaves will start changing in just another month or so.
