SR Laprade Seatpost From '83 Spec'l Sequoia: $30 shipped conti USA, paypal G&S payment
This has been kicking around here in one parts box or another for a few years. I'm pretty sure it's from an '83 Sequoia frameset I bought a long while ago, then stupidly sold before ever building it up.
Spec-wise it's marked 26.6, roughly 225mm from post-bottom to saddle rail center. Production date stamp is C-83, so March '83 production.
It has the matching blue paint infill on the seatpost flutes. The top of the post is painted as well.
I've got two issues calling this a fer sure '83 Sequoia post. The first is the post is 26.6mm, but I'd expect maybe a 26.8mm post for an '83. I can't find any specs for '83, so that's a question mark. The second issue is my swiss-cheese memory, but I also can't figure any other way I'd wind up with a blue-paint SR Laprade post.
I'm pricing this a little higher than a standard SR Laprade thinking it's an original stock post for a Sequoia. If I'm off-base on that, I'm happy to either revise the listing and reprice or kick it back into parts box limbo.
With all of that outta the way, the post is fairly clean overall, with a few light marks above the Min Insertion mark, but nothing objectionable. Clamp pieces, bolt, threads, etc all look good.
