Good idea Machka.

Where have you gone?
Alabama Gulf Coast, about 250 miles away. For one week in December.

What have you done?
Tons of shopping before Christmas. And the beach. We don't get Winter on the Gulf Coast.

What are some of the challenges you've overcome?
Rented a mini van. Other than too much deodorizer in the car, no issues. Everything we purchased fit!

Are you still working on some solutions?
Rental cars have become really expensive at the closest rental place (Enterprise Uptown New Orleans). I used to get weekend specials for $10/day with limited mileage. $30/day unlimited mileage. Now they want $50 - $80 a day for even the small cars. Yes.....I am still working on a solution. Likely need to own a dependable car in the family for travel.
