A quality conventional tyre is a better way to go... more and more of my bikes are sporting Schwalbe Marathons as I have found I like everything about them.

The performance is great; they roll fast, corner well, handle wet weather, and to date I have not gotten a flat in thousands upon thousands of kilometers.

I figure I will wear them out before I get a flat (and wearing them out takes a long time too) and this has been the experience of many of my customers at the shop.
