He's too weak to really assess his neuro status. He could have something like chronic disc disease that looks 10x worse because of the severe anemia. Once the anemia is resolved, we can get a better neuro exam.
Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. Notorious among human neurologists for producing strange, multifocal, vascular syndromes, along with jaundice, splenomegaly, etc. and falls into that immune hemolytic anemia category.
