I know what you mean. The nearest place for me to MTB is like 10 miles away. I wish were some gravel roads here that I could go spin around on.
We had a gravel race scheduled in May that is now cancelled, of course. I had the gps route and since yesterday was a dreary day, I rode it despite “gravel” not really being my thing. Turned out to be very enjoyable. Besides being scenic, the route crossed 7 bridges that I had worked on in my former life. I enjoyed the memories. Great solo ride.
