I built up a set of training wheels with H Plus Son Archetypes that I'm quite happy with. They're 23 mm wide to give a nice tire shape and about 25 mm deep so should be on par aerodynamically with the Deep Vs but they're about 110g lighter (470g vs 580) and come in around $70.
Just saw Velocity has a new (to me anyway) rim called the Aileron that looks like it would make a nice everyday wheel but they list at $126.99 on Velocity's site.
I'm sure there's a few more options out there if you look around but the price on the Archetypes will be pretty hard to match.
