Funny, I had that campground on my list as an early bail out option, but now that you've directed me to the website, I see that they want you to place a reservation ahead of time on-line. Although it looks like you can book the same day, since they're still taking reservations for tonight, but that seems kind of weird for a place that says it specifically caters to GAP riders. My plan is to ride until I start to think about dinner and decide where to stop then. With a campsite every 10 to 20 miles, I wonder how much luck they have with a reservation system.
I would avoid the free site at Connelsville. Too close to town. And forget about Ohiopyle. The energy you spend getting to the campsite is better off being put into getting to Confluence.
