Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". They were racing but they were behind people that were nonchalantly crossing the road at a rest stop?
...either I don't understand or those are some really slow racers.

Bottom line is that OP did a bike race and is complaining that some people were racing bikes.
