for anyone considering this trip, remember, you don't have to pay for lodging unless you want to. Their are quite a few of us who can put people up on their couches and whatnot...

We've updated the website with some more details about the weekend, but for the lazy, ill copy/paste..
Fri
Film Night the Park will be screaning surf movies in Dolores park starting a 8pm. We will get to the park at 7:30, and stay untill 30 minutes after the film to give people some time to show up and get to know each other. Grab some food, some drinks, and meet up with us. While unfortunately we cannot predict exactly where in the park we will be as the Film Night organizers occasionally change where the screen is, the park is only 3 blocks long, and we will be the big bike pile in the back of the crowd. As the date to the weekend comes upon us we will post a phone number for people who cant find us and want to join. After the movie we will have a bit of bar crawl and some riding to let people get to know each other and size up the competition for Saturdays events.
Sat
For the race, meet up at 12 o'clock at the giant Bow and Arrow statue at Embarcadero and Folsom [MAP]. Bring a bag, lock, and pen. Out of towners: remember, this IS San Francisco, we've got hills. Be prepared. You might want to study up on the San Francisco Bike Coalitions Map, too. Skidding/Footdown/Trackstand etc., will follow the race. After party/prizes/catered dinner (featuring the only fixed gear rider owned and operated taco truck in SF) will start at 5:30 at Thee Parkside [MAP].
Sun
On Sunday we will meet at noon at the Polo Fields [MAP] (it's by that little road that splits south of JFK) in Golden Gate Park. It will be a pretty informal day, but be prepared to see two of Bikeforums most notorious members attempt the impossible: flipping a tandem. There also are tentative plans for some sprint races. BYOB, food, and hang out on what we expect to be a beautiful summer day.
