Brings back some great memories from my moto days. A great motorcycle road when there isn't too much traffic. Almost as good as the mighty 190 a bit further south.

all the way to giant forest after 10am on the weekends.
did the entire descent unimpeded except for a truck that kindly pulled over for me after tailing him for approx a third of a mile. i woulda passed him within the next half-mile anyway but it
was a nice reciprocal wave/acknowledgement on a halcyon day.
will try to hit the 190 and environs in the spring after some rain/snow mitigates a little of the fire damage in progress.

Buddy Ron & I scouting out the unopened 7 mile stretch of new highway that will come in handy starting next week and going forward as 5:30 afternoon rides will be in the dark. Super smooth and no traffic. Up & back twice + back to the airport gets us 30 mi.

Palmer Mill Rd. Barricaded to vehicle traffic, not maintained. It dead ended with boulders placed across the road and Bridal Veil creek blocking progress beyond that.

About 45 miles as the car drives from downtown Seattle. It's on Burn Road between Arlington and Granite Falls, looking toward Mt Pilchuck. That was part of a century I rode yesterday: 80 miles of pavement solo, but also 20 miles of out-and-back gravel up Green Mountain off the Mountain Loop Highway that I rode with a few other guys. There were excellent views of the valley and Mt Pilchuck from 3700' on Green Mountain.
Not exactly thread-relevant, but here's my bike:
And here's a panorama of the scene, Pilchuck center:
