Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

99% of grooved steels are junk and on hard/thin edged blades (Japanese), with the force exerted, they easily cause edge chipping versus ceramic which is far more forgiving...but you knew that.

In a pinch I use the bottom of one of my coffee cups.

This thread is becoming the death of one thousand cuts.

On a bike related front, the wife and I just bought a Honda Pilot.

I visited the Campy and retro toy store today, VeloMine, in Springfield, IL. I walked out with a new Cinelli 1A stem, Cinelli Criterium bars, couple fixed gear cogs, track crankset and a spare rear fixed wheel.

Is the best shave from a straight razor, a single blade safety razor or one of those new-fangled multi-blade jobs?

I've been using Harry's blades. Wouldn't trust myself with a straight razor.
