Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well, not my thoughts. I didn't vote in that poll. I probably would've voted Other - Cheeseburger.

Whoa. That's pretty cool. It says reprinted with permission, so it probably wasn't sold. But it is pretty common for forums that are a part of a larger company to use editorials/information for profit.

That's more like free marketing and exposure for BikeForums.

All of that is an educated guess.

I tried to find the thread, and boom

Getting ready to ice it now, I'm sure tomorrow is going to hurt like hell but that's just part of cycling.

Come to think if it, someone once offered me a penny for my thoughts. Back then that was real money, too.

It's on the rise and climbing well above being worth a cent. So hawk your wares quick before the market disappears.

I like it.

I've been going back and forth between thinking miyata man is BikeForums silly troll/pot stirrer to thinking he's marginally brilliant. I'm still on the fence.

Why thank you VV. I remember telling the SC crowd that I felt you were a more prominent member of the BF brain trust than any number of people who seemed a little jealous of everyone else in the room. Sadly the conversation that was included in never ended up going anywhere. The road there had some interesting sights, though. Silly gator.

I'm not sure what this means, but most of the stuff I tend to be jealous of are things that don't lend themselves to being transferred from one person to another, so I think it's mostly harmless, to borrow a phrase.
