I think if they had wiped it down and taken their photos in the sunlight this would have sold by now. Its gold paint looks like it has an attractive metal flake to it.

cheapo univega that could clean up nicely - very cheap after he gives you $10 for the executive saddle. (which is how he must be getting his standover height... the seat adds 6 inches)

Looking in the CL of far-off lands again. The PNW market is strange. Could I be over-valuing these?

I see cantilevers and a triple, no way it could be junk, unless the frame is cracked or bent.,,,,BD

Belongs in the whacko thread as well. The Seller states in the ad that it is worth much more than $3k.

I wonder if that is something from the woman at the bike swap last weekend? She had ALL kinds of stuff, including an anniversary Paramount, and even THREE chrome Paramoumts with all the factory parts still attached. None the frames or bikes were my size. She even had a OLD Duravia aluminum randonneur bike, that will soon be at the bike museum. She exchanged lots of numbers with people, so this could be the fallout from the picking. I saw her sell a Gianni Motta frame in near NOS condition for $225. I was wincing at everything that away for pennies.,,,,BD

Even if the frame is toast...you could make some good $$$ on the parts...the bar end shifters would probably get our money back, the triple would add...and the canti's would not do bad! And...if the frame is ok...extra!!!

Wish I was in Seattle- looks similar to a Trek 520 geometry....be really interested to see what it is if someone here picks it up. "Aria"- wonder if seller means Araya?

It's Japanese. I was wondering if it is a Fuji Saratoga or Bridgestone RB-T.

Yeah, looks like a nice touring geo- I didn't think it would be a Trek, but it looks similar to it with the medium length chain stays. Apparently Kawamura made a lot of off-brand bikes for small manufacturers. If I was in SEA I would run and get it- the barcons alone are almost worth the $50.

This looks like it could be a good deal with about 4 hours to go.

Can't tell for sure but the paint run on the headtube looks like it might be a respray. Last thing I need is another project but any one have an idea of what Raleigh this is? Tubing?

The wishbone seatstay ones like that were painfully heavy but people will pay $50 for those shifters alone!

It's a real pain to get to Camano Island (if the map is to be believed) from Seattle proper; probably the only reason it hasn't sold.

Perfect, that's exactly what I needed to hear to talk me out of it! Not to keen on the repaint anyway.

I emailed the seller and he got back to me. It's a Bridgestone and from the color I'm pretty sure it's a RBT. He mentions synergy and I believe that fits with what little I know about RBT's. Someone better get this bike, and soon.

This is a touring model with Cantilever brakes and a triple. Could be flipped for much more.
