^ That Tarmac is freaking HOT, although the bottle cages look kinda cheapish to me.... digging the anodized brakes.

those are the standard specialized cages. it was the only color the shop had left unless i was going to spend 50+ on carbon cages. I'll spend alot of money on bike...but not on carbon cages. and yeah...i was hesitant to buy them b/c of the color, but actually they are not as bright in real life and look really good on the bike...that pic came out weird

sorry for background shed (been leaning for years), and I know - it's not in front of a white garage door..... bought this set of carbon tubulars for my old planet x as an end of the semester present from me - to me. Not as flashy as many of the bikes which get posted but has been a good bike for over 10,000 miles since last spring. And at a few ounces under 16lbs as pictured, not too heavy either

My "daily rides" are usually weekend rides that are 30 miles or more but I'll sometimes ride to spin class and back on it. I originally intended to use these for the longer rides and roll with the CXP-22s for the shorter rides but with the difference in rim width I decided to keep the HEDs on for full-time use. The only difference is that they're an aluminum rim with a carbon fairing vs a standard aluminum rim. The 60mm fairing depth isn't an issue...even though it gets windy here.
Haven't owned Ultegra/DA so I can't give an accurate comparison. I have ridden other bikes with Force, Red, TRP, but didn't pay specific attention to braking.
That being said, they're light years ahead of the 105 stuff that was on this bike. They have great modulation and absolutely lock down when you need them to.
I really like them. The only complaint I've heard from people about them is that they need to be re-centered on occasion. I spent a while setting them up (cable housing length is important) and haven't had an issue. No re-centering has been needed.
They're equipped with black SwissStops, in case you were wondering.
