That looks like a bar-mounted butt pincher.

And you or someone was going off on the pake with the sparrow bars a few pages back. while I agree that the best placement would be towards the ends of the bars, if he wants it near the stem it would have to be reversed otherwise there wouldn't be enough clearance given the forward sweep.

First of all "I like your bike, fix your brake lever" hardly constitutes "going off" on someone. Second of all, he at least listened to reason.

If he wants to brake with his right hand, he should mount it properly on the right-hand side. End of story. It's not like being able to reach it from even farther away from the stem would make it less functional. There's no reason to mount it backwards.

you understand you're arguing a brake on a track bike, right? so you can forget using "proper" at all.

there is absolutely nothing wrong about the way my lever is set up unless you're talking aesthetics. it's not going to fall off, it works perfect, i can reach it just as easy and with BOTH hands if i need to, and it allows me more room on the bars for control. leave it alone man, your bantering isn't going to magically flip it around

Im leaning toward metallic silver but love the apple. Ive had the green apple already and have a white (non-panasonic) bike or id go for the white too.
You know you can get the fork in a different color if you want too.

Here's a reason (though I don't necessarily assume that it it his): Someone rides with their hands next to the stem and wants maximum leverage. With the lever mounted like that you can get better leverage while keeping your hands next to the stem.

That's a reason to mount it backwards. Therefore what you said is false. If you want to convince people of your point you should avoid saying false things.

You're right though, they are all so hot. Too many choices. Do you run the distro for those frames?

What do you mean run it?
We order it straight from Panasonic when you order it.

@kobetsang - Really nice looking bike. But as others have pointed out, your seat seems out of place. Your seatpost extension and relatively short stem don't seem to bear out the need for such a forward placement.
