Sadly there are very few flat roads in Scotland, a 63 mile route I ride gives me 5,600 feet of climbing, a 40 mile route gives 4,300 feet and my usual 23 mile route gives me 2,800 feet so no flat routes around here

84 torpado not fancy but lots of fun to ride. Just swapped out the campy tipo/abrosio clincher wheets for campy tipo/Mavig GP4 tubular, running Tufo tires.....made a fun ride super smooth

Seatpost was spotted on craigslist by randyjawa after the original was destroyed getting it unstuck, ofmega BB courtesy of Bianchgirll, 600ex freehub overhauled by gaucho777. (reminds me the original regina is still in pieces and I need to send to pastorbob) and lots of input from all on various questions

Since this thread bubbled up....
Here's a pic of my mid-80s Battaglin. Cromor frame, TSD sticker, mix of 7sp 600/Sante when I bought it back in 1996. Upgraded to 8sp STI, 9sp STI, and then stripped down to a single speed for commuting as pictured. I eventually "stole" the BB for another project and it had been sitting in my storage locker for the last 4 years.
Fast-forward to this year. I needed a bike with some hill gears, so I built it up and it's back on the road. Did a hilly 100k last weekend - I'd forgotten how good of a rider this thing is.
Here's the before and after:

For me, the Super rides better...bit bigger and fits me better
The Prestige has become my "tribute" bike...I got it around the same time as my mom passed away...and she would have loved the pink bike! So...completely different purposes...so we can ALL like them equally! :-)
