I think it was a book. Early '80s maybe. Have no idea what it was about.

Oooh, there was an Australian adaptation. Think it has a passage about fighting kangaroos? Can't get much more manly than that
The book was on The New York Times Best Seller list for 55 weeks and sold over 1.6 million copies. An Australian adaptation by Alex Buzo was published later that year.

It’s mostly just a joke that guys like to toss around, like locker room talk. As a mature responsible male you use what works best for your situation. Personally, BillyD would probably use an SUV if at all feasible, gas mileage be damned.

I LOVE driving 4-runners, but you can't stand bikes up in 'em and the deck height also contributes to bike loading being less pleasurable than on Pontiac Montana, Not sure if they'll accept 4x8 drywall/plywood or not...

I drove an SUV while the Dodge was hors de combat. The commanding view was nice, but the only reason it's needed is because every damn body has one.

I had a 1960 Rambler American that burned so much oil it threw out a James Bond smokescreen. I used to say it cost more in oil than it did in gas. I sold it to a friend and warned him not to drive it on the freeway. He drove it to Oregon and made it part way back before the engine quit.

Since Billy D monitors close when I get onto this thread, I need to report and issue. On the full site I have to refresh and relog in if I want to respond. I also have to copy, save and refresh. If I even go to a new thread, same if I go to a new thread. I'm going to a new one and will have to refresh and relog in.
Edit: went to new thread in a different topic and had to refresh/relog in when I came back.
Edit: The same again. It's a recent developement. The phone is ok. If I leave the site and come back before a timeout, also no problem. It just happens moving between threads and responding to posts.

Regarding the operating issue, troubleshooting is not in my skill set. I’m sorry you’re having problems, I’m positive someone in the User Assistance forum will be able to help you.

Back in the early 1990s, my dad and my brother caravaned across country. Dad was driving a new Trans Am. My brother was driving a new, redesigned, Dodge K-Car. Wherever they stopped, folks flocked to see the new K-Car.

The Prius offers us no style points. A few years ago, I was considering replacing my old Corolla with some sort of manual hot hatch, Focus ST, Mazdaspeed, GTI etc. Then, my parents sold us their 2012 Prius for like 3 grand, basically a gift. Now we need to optimize for getting kids in and out of the car, a hot hatch won't be on the menu for quite some time.
When we get a second car, it wll be some sort of SUV since we do outdoorsy stuff a lot and need some clearance. I want a matching white Rav 4 Prime. With the black top. So sweet.

You can actually fit surprisingly large items in a Prius, with the rear seats folded down. The hatch opens up quite nicely and its just a big long box in there.
